The Government announced a significant policy statement with a powerful comment by the Secretary of State Karen Bradley who said “We will make sure all adults who need it can receive free training in digital skills to equip them for the modern world.”

Courses are expected to be delivered by colleges and other adult education providers, and training will be funded from the existing Adult Education Budget with the Government consulting on the details of this new offer in the coming months.

The Functional Skills reform programme being managed by the ETF also has a significant focus on the use of English and maths skills in the digital age.
